Woden
The first area to be developed outside of the inner north and south areas of central Canberra, Woden was the city’s first town centre, established in 1964.
Woden also features a major Westfield shopping mall in the town centre, along with an abundance of dining, recreation and entertaining options. Several major clubs are here, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and major employment centres.
Popular with retirees and young families alike, Woden also has some excellent schools, health and medical facilities including both public and private hospitals, and sporting ovals and playing fields.
