Tuggeranong
Tuggeranong is the most southern town centre in Canberra, lining the Murrumbidgee Corridor, with the region remaining a rural retreat right up until its first residents moved into the area’s first suburb of Kambah in 1974.
Highlighted by the valleys, ridges and hills of the adjoining Namadgi National Park, Tuggeranong features some of the most spectacular views in winter as residents look out to the snow capped mountains nearby.
The Tuggeranong Town Centre has evolved to become a cosmopolitan centre with sidewalk cafes, restaurants and coffee shops lining the streets, a central lake and its foreshore for recreation and movie theatres, an indoor pool, clubs and diverse shopping options also on offer.
